Tropical J's is proud to be able to develop, design, and build Eco Tents for Companies wherein such needs apply. Molokai Ranch approached our company a while back seeking a fresh design for their lodging, something that would match the durability of a wooden structure, but provide a more comfortable feel and have the possibility of removable and replaceable fabric. Thus a steel framed, Acryllic fabric structure was developed.

The "tentalow"s, as they were dubbed, provided the security and coziness of a small cottage, and with mesh zip down windows, offered breezy and comfortable living spaces. Big enough to house a king size bed and furniture, the tentalows made up several villages in the expanses at the Molokai Ranch where guests were able to feel more down to earth in their stay, while maintaing the integrity of a key-access abode. The second roof of the tentalow keeps it cool inside, and when weathering and time wears out the roof fabric, the "fly" is able to be replaced and the base tent covering remain intacts while new one is installed.

Tropical J's has gone on to design and manufacture more luxurious Eco Tent structures that have had private toilet and bath areas inside. Since all our Eco Tents are steel structure, electricity is a complete possibility with outlets and ceiling fans being no strangers to the interiors of the room.
