Tropical J's, Inc manufactures one of the best wood framed umbrellas in the world. However, our customers often have umbrella requirements that go beyond what we can manufacture. In order to meet these needs, we represent two fabulous umbrella lines that have special properties that enhance our service to our customers. The first line of umbrellas consists of super large umbrellas reaching 30ft diameter offered by Envirodesigns out of Alberta, Canada. These umbrellas, reaching as large as 30ft diameter, have a unique telescoping mast that enhances their ability to close without having to move tables and chairs out of the way. The second line of umbrellas by the Taiyo Membrane Corporation, have enhanced wind performance and can handle winds speeds to 75mph and beyond.

Tropical J's, Inc began making hand held umbrellas in 1990 and selling them at local craft fairs. Interest in their craftsmanship eventually led to the classic TJ's question, "can you do something like this?", and thus the trek to developing quality outdoor market umbrellas was begun. When it comes to quality, nothing comes close to a TJ's umbrella. Tropical J's, Inc designs umbrellas from 5ft to 14ft square. All the components are manufactured in our shop, hand sanded and then hand dipped 3 times with a heavy, UV protected marine polyurethane that has proven to endure the harsh climates of our Hawaii.

 

Envirodesigns is the North American manufacturer and distributor of giant commercial patio umbrellas or giant residential patio umbrellas that are available in different shapes and sizes ranging from 12 to 30 feet in diameter. Their Palazzo giant umbrella model documents the progress of the giant sunshades. While combining beauty and precise engineering the Palazzo provides a durable weatherproof covering for both residential and institutional area. These umbrellas range from 14ft to 26ft round. Their Palazzo M16 models are constructed with 12, 14 or 16 ribs which make it the strongest of the Palazzo giant umbrellas. The M16's are only assembled on site and must be installed into a concrete foundation. The umbrella cover is made of individual panels which are inserted into the length of the ribs. Operates with a crank mechanism and is available with optional motor drive and wiring for lighting. Due their large size and construction, the Palazzo series are limited to windspeeds of 40mph or less depending on size and shape.
