PRODUCT INFO

Retractable Awnings

RLAAs are NOT designed for heavy rains, heavy winds, or to be a product that you deploy and leave out all day.  If you are looking for all day/all weather coverage please explore another option like an umbrella or a fixed or retractable canopy.

RLAA arms are made in set projections so depending the model you will have different options for maximum projections.

RLAAs can be manufactured to custom widths and some can go up to 40’.

Control is typically via a manual crank gear or motorized operation, and for motors we use Somfy RTS technology.

Models

The Shan

The Shan is a heavy duty, completely enclosed cassette awning.  This means that when the awning is closed it looks like an architectural detail to your home.  Because of this it is only available in a motorized option and can go up to 23’ wide.  It is only available in wall mount.  Fabric selections are from the Para Tempotest catalog, with Sunbrella options available at an upcharge.

The EVO SC

The Evo semi cassette is a heavy duty has the underside still partially exposed when closed.  It can be operated manually or with a motorized option ans is available up to 40’ wide.  It can be mounted to a wall, a ceiling or to a roof with additional roof mounted brackets.  If roof mounted, the unit usually needs to be motorized.  Fabric selections are from the Para Tempotest catalog, with Sunbrella options available at an upcharge.

The ABC Deluxe

The Deluxe is a medium duty awning with optional hood.  When the awning is closed you can see all the components. It can be operated manually or with a motorized option and is available up to 40’ wide.  It can be mounted to a wall, a ceiling or to a roof with additional roof mounted brackets.  If roof mounted, the unit usually needs to be motorized.  Fabric selections are from the Sunbrella Marine Grade catalog.

Other cheaper awnings use lighter extrusions for the frame, non stainless springs for the arms or fabrics with less warranty. This leads to premature frame failure, or decreased frame performance over time. When the fabric wears out on these types of systems, the entire system usually needs to be replaced (if it has even made it that far to begin with).

Our installations and systems have been working great in Hawaii for over 20 years and because we are local, we can service your product or parts if it needs repair. It is also not uncommon for us to replace the fabric on one of our awnings when the fabric reaches the end of its life.
